The Service

One Sunday morning a pastor noticed a young boy named Alex staring at a plaque that hung in the foyer of the church. The plaque had different names with small American flags mounted on the side of them. The seven year old had been staring at it for quite sometime, so the pastor decided to go talk to the boy. He stood next to him quietly and said, "good morning Alex." "Good morning," Alex replied still looking at the plaque, "what is this?" "Well, son, that is a memorial for all the young men and young women who died in the service." They stood together soberly staring at the large plaque. Little Alex's voice was trembling and hard to hear as he asked, "which service? The 9:45 or the 11:15?" Gotta love kids!
